Bon Bini Bonaire!

After spending some quality time at home with family and friends it was time to hit the water again! Only a week ago I was still doubting where to go to and today I already had my first session here in Bonaire. I was thinking about some wave sailing in Tenerife, visiting a friend of me in Cadiz or Bonaire but as it has been more than two years since i’ve been here and all the good stories about the wind this whole season (and with two of my best freestyle friends Oda and Maeli being there as well) the decision was made!

bon biniI arrived thursday night after a pretty uncomfortable flight with Arke Fly; ten hours with just one meal and two drinks, and no movies! But it’s all worth it 🙂

Yesterday there was not so much wind but this gave me the chance to get all sorted with a local sim card, scooter, rig up my new White tip sails and put the stickers in from all my sponsors (first time i did it a few years ago it took me hours and they were never straight or without bubbles in it, but im getting better dont you think?!)

After that Oda and I went to the gym, staying fit while waiting for the wind to kick in and although it was friday night we just went to bed early. Today the wind is getting stronger already, i went out with my 4.8 whitetip and managed to land a few moves but with a lot of pumping and not so much wind. Tonight will be another early night probably as the forecast on windguru looks amazing for upcoming days:
